31 year old doctor commits suicide

Posted by Anup Baral April 20, 2015 :A 31-year-old woman doctor of All India Institute of Medical Sciences allegedly committed suicide due to immense mental torture caused by the sexual orientation of her husband, a dermatologist in the same hospital.


The couple got married five years ago and were staying in AIIMS quarters in south Delhi.

Soon after the marriage, the woman doctor came to know that her husband was gay.In a four-page suicide letter and a note on her Facebook page, Priya Vedi said her husband was a homosexual and accused him of mentally torturing her for dowry.
 Her husband who is also an AIIMS doctor was arrested on Sunday afternoon.

The husband was arrested based on the suicide note and a complaint filed by the woman’s parents.Priya was the daughter of a tailor, who stitched clothes in Laxmangarh. She was cremated on Sunday.
