The Paragliding Pre-World Cup has begun in Pokhara of Kaski on Friday, for the first time in Nepal. As many as 150 paragliding pilots from 36 nations including Nepal are participating in the weeklong event hosted by Nepal Airsports Association (NAA). Today, the participants practiced for the main competition that will begin tomorrow, said NAA Deputy Chairperson Sovit Baniya. A NAA technician Rabin Gurung said the pilots have taken their flights over Sarangkot, Armala, Dhikidanda and Toripani of Kaski during the practice on Friday.
Hundreds of audience had observed the practice games today from the banks of Phewa Lake. As many as 30 pilots are participating from Nepal, according to NAA Chairperson Yogesh Bhattarai.
