Earthquake In Pashupatinath Kathmandu Nepal

Posted by Anup Baral May 13, 2015 :
Another massive earthquake of magnitude 7.3 struck Nepal again on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, less than three weeks after a quake devastated large areas of the Himalayan nation. Epi-center was near the border with China, at a depth of about 18.5 kilometers (11.5 miles), the USGS said. It had initially estimated the magnitude at 7.4. The epicentre of the latest earthquake was 83km (52 miles) east of Kathmandu, in a rural area close to the Chinese border.
Migration touches the lives of the majority of Nepalis, whether directly or through family members: 55% of Nepali households receive remittances, which contributed at least 25% of Nepal’s GDP. Migration is also an inclusive phenomenon, with more than half of the impressive reductions in poverty in Nepal over the past two decades directly attributed to remittance income.
