Earthquake Triggers Landslide Near Kathmandu

Another massive earthquake of magnitude 7.3 struck Nepal again on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, less than three weeks after a quake devastated large areas of the Himalayan nation. Epi-center was near the border with China, at a depth of about 18.5 kilometers (11.5 miles), the USGS said. It had initially estimated the magnitude at 7.4.
The epicentre of the latest earthquake was 83km (52 miles) east of Kathmandu, in a rural area close to the Chinese border. It struck at a depth of 18.5km (11.5 miles), according to the US Geological Survey.
