The National Sports Council (NSC) is set to propose the Cricket Development Board of Nepal as replacement of Cricket Association of Nepal. NSC Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama on Thursday revealed that NSC was planning to propose formation of the body to cabinet through Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS).
However, Member Secretary Lama nominated at the NSC through UCPN-Maoist quota and Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Paudel belonging to CPN-UML has had loggerheads over numerous issues in the past. Meanwhile, MoYS at the same time had also worked on the similar type of board last year. Similarly, the proposal is yet to be tabled and endorsed by the NSC board itself.
