Daily public life is gradually returning back to normal as the daily demonstrations organized by various sides is slowly subsiding. Markets and shops in Dhangadi, Attariya, Tikapur, Lamki have started opening since Wednesday, with people back to their normal lives. Likewise, schools re-opened from today following an agreement reached at the all-side meeting held in Tikapur yesterday. Public transport in the short route has also begun. However, long distance passenger buses have not yet resumed their service. The agitation calling for a Tharuhat province followed by the undivided far-west campaign had brought life to a standstill in the region as a whole since the past two weeks. However, supporters of the Tharuhat campaign held a press conference here on Wednesday to announce that their agitation will continue until tomorrow. RSS
