Two Nepali killed at Jayanagar Bazaar in India after they touched a live transmission cable

Two among the 11 people killed at Jayanagar Bazaar in India on Tuesday noon after they touched a live transmission cable, have been identified as Nepalis, Indian police said.One deceased from Nepal has been identified as Saroj Kumar Yadav of Lagadi Gadiyani VDC-2 in Siraha, while the identity of another Nepali national killed in the incident is yet to be ascertained, Sub Inspector Shankar Chaudhary said.Indian police confirmed that the identity of the Nepali person killed in the incident has been established based on the documents that were with the deceased during the incident.

The total 11 people including the two Nepalis were burnt to death when they came in contact with the 11,000-volt live transmission wire that fell to the ground by accident.The motorcycle, Yadav was riding while the incident occurred, was also burnt completely, police said.Police said that the Nepali deceased had gone to the bordering town of Jayanagar bazaar to purchase essentials.
