Cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have pelted stones targeting police personnel at BP Chowk of the district headquarters on Sunday. Police fired two rounds of bullets in air and lobbed five shells of teargas to disperse agitators. Police had asked the protesters to keep their protest peaceful. Earlier, the law enforcement agency had warned that it will be forced to open fire if stone-pelting continues.
