Unified Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha has resigned from the post of head of the mechanism for the implementation of the responsibility of the government. However Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has not accepted the resignation yet, confirmed a source. According to a source from the party, Shrestha resigned from the post accusing that ministers from the party are taking their own decisions which is degrading the prestige of the party. The source informed that Vice Chairman Shrestha submiteed his resignation letter to the Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal during the meeting of the party at Dahal’s personal residence in Kathmandu on Saturday. In the meeting Narayani Kaji Shrestha enforced Party Chairman Dahal to accept his resignation. Narayani Kaji Shrestha told that the ministers from the party are being involved in activities which are degrading the prestige of the party, which has even degraded his personal prestige. Shrestha told, He will now focus on the internal party work rather than getting involved in the mechanism formed by the government. Shrestha also told that the visit of two daughters of Shakti Basnet and four relatives of Prachanda visit to China has degraded the prestige of the party.
