The second day of the Bandh called by the supporters of an ‘integrated far-west’ continues to affect daily public life in Kanchanpur. All passenger buses including those plying in the short and long route have remained off the roads, forcing many people to travel by foot. Markets too remain sparsely open. The organisers of the bandh have warned of continuing the shut down until a commitment is received to keep the far-west integrated in the new federal design of the country.
