Israel agrees to hire 300 caregivers from Nepal

Director General at the Department of Foreign Employment Bharat Subedi and Israeli ambassador to Nepal Yaron Mayer signed the agreement between two countries have agreed to send 60 caregivers in the pilot phase in presence of State Minister for Labour and Employment Tek Bahadur Gurung..

Israel has agreed to hire 300 caregivers from Nepal as part of the government-to-government recruitment system. "Caregivers will now be able to go Israel paying around Rs 60, 000. We are committed to make recruitment process fair, transparent and competitive," Gurung told the Post after meeting. According to the agreement , both Nepali men and women can go to Israel by paying a maximum fee of around Rs 65,000. Nepali women of 25-45 years age bracket can apply for the job. Officials said the selection process will be transparent and the priority will be given to those candidates who meet the set requirements. The government has made it mandatory for prospective migrant employees to undergo training, orientation and language classes prior to their departure. Nearly 700 migrant workers had reached Israel through individual channel in past one year.
